The "Wildlife Estates" initiative aims to establish a network of exemplary estates. These estates/territories will showcase the simple principles of good management and conservation of wildlife estates all over Europe and are adapted according to the different types of hunting management in the various regions of the EU. Apart from a highly beneficial exchange of experience, the initiative has established simple but precise principles for the good territorial management and conservation of "wildlife" territories throughout Europe, divided up according to the different biogeographical regions of the European Union.
The "Wildlife Estates" initiative network welcomes all territories with the "Wildlife Estates Initiative" label, any territory that has signed the WE charter, any parties that are interested in obtaining the label, or anybody who is interested in nature conservation. This site allows owners/managers to register online through the creation of a profile. Thus, each territory managers will have the possibility to see other profiles and contacts. This website will describe as examples territories that received WE Labels and will serve as models for many other areas. The WE initiative is following the principles of Natura 2000. Each territory is part of a bio-geographic region. Thus, application form to obtain the label can be downloaded according to the required bio-geographic region. The Website will also provide specific guidelines for online application.
